Privacy statement

Hostingot processes personal data: from visitors who read a page, from people who ask for support and from customers in the panel. Below is what is stored, where, for how long, and what you can do about it.

Still to be filled in: this statement is not finished

Our official company name, our registered address, our Chamber of Commerce number, our VAT number, our email address for questions about this statement and our retention periods are not settled yet. They belong here, and they will appear here as soon as they are known. Until then this is an open statement of what we do do, and not a completed one.

From someone who only reads a page

We store no name and no email address. The site sets two cookies, and not at every moment: hg_csrf protects the forms against abuse (one day) and hg_taal remembers your language choice once you choose a language (one year). Both are HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. On a second visit from the same browser the site sets no new cookie. Our application does not write your IP address to a file; it is only used in memory to work against spam on the form.

From someone who asks for support

The form asks for a subject, your question and your language, and only if you want to, your email address. Together with a reference for the request, those go to our own machine, in the file tickets. We use them to answer your question and to see which questions are open. If you leave the email address empty, we do not store it.

From a customer in the panel

We store your email address, an encrypted form of your password and the details of your service: name, plan, domain, server, backups and the log of your service. That is on our own machines in Central Europe, in the European Union. After you log out, the session stays valid for at most seven days.

Third parties

This site loads nothing from other parties: no analytics, no trackers, no pixels, no fonts or scripts from outside. No visitor information goes to an external service.

Your rights

You may ask what we store about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Send a question through the support form and we will arrange it. Direct contact becomes possible as soon as the email address above is there.
