Statuses in the panel

Question
What do the statuses next to my site mean?
Answer
There are four, and they all say something about setting up your site. "Queued": your request is ready and waiting for a spot. "Setting up": we are getting your site's files and the connection to it ready. "Active": your site is running. "Error": setting up failed; whatever was already set up has been cleaned up, and the panel then shows in your own language what went wrong and what you can do. Setting up runs in the background, so the status moves from Queued to Active on its own while you watch. If a site keeps showing Queued or Setting up, the panel was restarted in between; the system then puts such a site on Active itself if it is healthy, and on Error otherwise. The admin buttons (backup, restart, restore) only appear for an active site. In the Lab environment nothing really happens behind the scenes: there you do not see "Queued" and "Setting up", and every site becomes active immediately.
