Your own domain name

Question
Can I use my own domain name, and who manages the DNS and the certificate?
Answer
You use your own domain name, and for WordPress hosting it is also required: the panel refuses an order without a valid domain, and also refuses a domain that is already in use. We do not register a domain for you and we never manage your DNS — you do that yourself, at the provider where you hold your domain. We give you the instructions and the IP address to point your domain to; that IP is not fixed yet, because it follows from the role a machine still has to get. Ask us what you need to do now and we will tell you. Two things we do not promise yet: an HTTPS certificate for your site (that can only come once the product has a certificate path), and a fixed migration time or a permanent IP — when you move, you point your domain again yourself, so set a low TTL in advance.
