DNS step 2 — you make the DNS change yourself, at your provider
- Question
- Who changes my DNS records, and what do I have to do at my domain provider?
- Answer
- You change your own DNS, at the provider where you registered your domain. We never manage your DNS and we do not set up your domain for you; we give you the instruction. The IP address you must use is not fixed yet, because it follows from the role a machine gets, and that role has not been assigned. Ask us at this point; we will tell you as soon as the address is known, and we will then ask you to change your DNS.

- step 2 of the own-domain wizard, once your site runs on a machine.
