Backup and restore

Question
Do I get a backup of my WordPress site, and can you restore it if something goes wrong?
Answer
Yes. Restoring has been proven: on a real Linux server and on a site created through the panel, both with the database fingerprint identical after the restore (2026-09-23). A run in our Lab environment says nothing: behind the scenes, nothing really happens there. The panel data itself — the record of your site and your account — is backed up every day, kept for 14 days, and every run includes a restore test. What is not settled yet: how long we keep the backups of your own site (the daily backup of the site content is built but not running yet; you create that one from the panel for now), whether those also sit outside our own machines, and whether they are encrypted. We will state it here once it is final.
